SUMMARY:THM campus tour: Discovering the world of herbs
DESCRIPTION:Biodiversity plays a crucial role in the balance and health of us and our environment. In May\, nature is already in its full glory and we can experience an abundance of wild plants. The THM herb walk\, led by Dr. Katharina Vogelsang\, will give you an insight into the fascinating world of biodiversity on our doorstep. “Medicinal plants” and edible herbs are presented\, while at the same time the dangers of confusion are discussed. Some plants can also be important for the survival of certain insects. The herb walk is intended to raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity on campus and in the Wieseck floodplain and offer students the opportunity to experience it directly in their everyday studies. At the end of the approx. 3-hour walk\, you will not be “herb experts”\, but you will gain an initial insight into the plant world and its importance for humans and animals. And to make sure you don’t miss out on the conviviality\, you will enjoy a herb quark together after the walk.        \nIf you would like to take part\, please send an e-mail with your full name to greenoffice@thm.de . On On June 12 and 13\, we cordially invite you to be part of the unique “Create a Difference” project. This project was initiated by students for students and offers you the opportunity to improve our university environment in the long term. Together we want to create new\, cozy common areas that invite you to linger and exchange ideas.Great news: All the building materials for our campaign are already available! So you don’t have to develop anything\, you can get started right away. Your creativity and energy are needed to transform the campus into a more pleasant place to study and relax. There will be a short briefing at the beginning to make it easier to get started – no special previous knowledge or particular manual skills are required. Every contribution counts and is very welcome!       What can you expect on these days? \n\nBuilding activities: Lend a hand and assemble the available materials into seating furniture to create the new outdoor recreation area at the A15.\nExchange and networking: Meet like-minded people\, share your ideas and be inspired.\nFun and community: Experience two days full of teamwork and positive changes on campus. Of course\, you can also join us for just one day or even spontaneously for an hour. \nDrinks and music: Food and drink will be provided to ensure that breaks and a good mood are not neglected.\n\nTake part and be a part of this sustainable transformation!
